At the timing “check”, cut down both arms to the side as at attention, shift the right foot just beside the left foot and lift the left knee to waist level.
At the timing “1”, form a T-shape with the left foot. The right toecap is facing the left insole.
At the timing “2”, form a L-shape with the right foot at the heels.
At the timing “3”, form a V-shape with the left foot as standing at attention.
Now, having turned 180°, bang with the right leg before resuming quick march by shooting out the left leg forward.
Common faults:

Command: HENTAK KAKI CEPAT HENTAK
Drill movement:
At the command, raise the left knee with the thigh perpendicular to the body, shin parallel to the body and feet pointing naturally downwards.
Landing on the ball of the foot, place the left foot beside the right foot without driving it to the ground.
As the toe comes to the ground, start to raise the right knee in a similar manner.
Then, repeat the same movement with the right leg.
This is down when the squad is static.
Common faults:

Command: MAJU

Command: DALAM BUKA, BARISAN KE-KANAN LURUS
Drill movement:
At the command, the first and last rank will take 1 step forward and backward respectively.
The front rank shoots the left foot a step forward, placing the foot flat on the ground. Then bend the right knee and bang. The arms remain at the side throughout.
The rear rank takes a step backwards. Pivoting from the ball of the foot to heel, poising the body forward and the knees braced. Similarly, bend the right knee and bang.
Then everyone, except the right marker’s column, will turn their heads 45° to the right. The first rank will raise their arms to the right. If there is insufficient space, the first rank will raise their arms to the back of the shoulder of the person on their right.
Then, everyone will shuffle their feet to take dressing. The first rank will take dressing of 1 arm length to the right with hand closed, knuckles touching shoulder but the right-marker row will not raise their arms.
When everyone has taken their dressing accordingly, the shuffling will stop.
Common faults:
Allow the left knee to bend.
Arms not kept still to the side.

Command: DALAM TUTUP BARISAN, KE-KANAN LURUS
Drill movement:

The front rank takes a step backwards.
The first rank will take dressing of 1 arm length to the right with hand closed, knuckles touching shoulder.
The right marker’s column will take dressing of 1 arm 6 inches from the person in front forward in line with the back of the hand facing right. Knuckles of closed hand should be 6-inches from the shoulder of the man in front.
When everyone has taken their dressing accordingly, the shuffling will stop.

The tip of the baton should be on the same plane with the back of the body and left arm.
At the same time, the left leg will be raised to right angles with the toes pointing downwards.
Drive the left foot to strike the ground just beside the right foot.

Command: SENANG DI-RI

At the same time, bring the left hand close to the left side of the body to assume the position of attention. The right fist should be at mouth level, about one thumb-length away.
At the last timing of “1”, lower the baton swiftly to the right side and straighten right arm. The top part of the baton pointing 45° to the ground, thumb is flat on top and the other fingers grip the handle.
Command: SEDI-A (From KE HADAPAN, HOR-MAT)

Adventure Training Camp on 18/07/2014-20/07/2014

There will be the Adventure Training Camp held on the 18th-20th July. Below are several essential points to take note during the camp. Bus 1: If your lessons end at 12.35pm, you are to ensure that your school bags are placed in the NPCC room by 1.15pm (if you want) and you must fall-in at the foyer by 1.20pm. Bus 2: If your lessons end at 1.05pm and for Muslim cadetswho have Friday prayers, you are to ensure that your school bags are placed in the NPCC room by 2.05pm (if you want) and you must fall-in at the foyer by 2.10pm. Next, as Sec 2 ATC and Sec 3 STC is a promotion criteria and your attendance contributes a significant number of points to UOPA, please ensure that everyone from the Sec 2 and Sec 3 squads know about ATC / STC and attend ATC/STC next Friday to Sunday (18-20 July 2014). Lastly, just is a gentle reminder of our expectations and goals for you guys during ATC/STC, everyone of us should strive to achieve the following goals during the camp: 1. Excel and Shine: As a cadet from VSNPCC, all of us should aim to do our best in every activity during ATC/STC and put in 100% effort (Nil Sine Labore) to be the best that we can be as Victorians (Performance Excellence). 2. Persevere and Endure As Victorians, all of us should aim to go beyond our comfort zone and participate actively in all activities during ATC/STC. We will definitely feel tired and have sore muscles at some point during the camp, but it is important that we push ourselves beyond our limits during the camp and we will be amazed at what we can actually achieve when we look back. However, do sound off immediately to your group instructors or the officers if you are injured or feeling unwell at any point during the camp itself. 3. Look out for one another Look out for your fellow campers during ATC/STC, regardless of which unit they come from. Our Muslim friends from our area will be fasting during ATC/STC, so it is important that we keep a look out for them to ensure that they are feeling ok during the activities. Thank you.
